How do you compress mp3's to such a small size? The files download so quickly compared to the files I upload to our website and I wondered how you all do it!

TUMI Ops -

We edit audio in Sound Forge. Most of our spoken word MP3s are edited and then encoded for the web at 32 Kbps, 22,050 Hz, 16 Bit, Mono. We archive the original recording. Most audio programs will have some way to change the MP3 bitrate and encoding. Look for buttons that say Custom or Properties. In Sound Forge, the quality settings are in the same area as where I set the ID3 tags.
